One of the reasons I Love Lucy was so successful was because of the insatiable chemistry of the cast. Together, Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz, Vivian Vance and William Frawley put on one of the greatest shows of all time.

Although the sitcom centered mainly on its four main actors, it also boasted some impressive guest stars. We all remember famous appearances by Harpo Marx and George Reeves, but there were other soon-to-be-famous actors who stopped by the series.

Take a closer look. You might have missed these seven actors before they made it big.

1

Barbara Eden

One of Eden's first television roles was in the season six episode "Country Club Dance." The future I Dream of Jeannie star plays Diana, who turns a lot of heads at the gathering.

2

Janet Waldo

Chance are, you won't recognize Waldo's appearance in the season one episode "Young Fans." But you'll definitely recognize her distinctive voice. Waldo, who passed away this year, was the voice of Judy Jetson on The Jetsons and Josie on Josie and the Pussycats.

3

Aaron Spelling

Aaron Spelling is known for producing shows like Charlie's Angels and The Love Boat, but he also has some acting credits to his name. In the season four episode "Tennessee Bound," Spelling plays a gas station attendant who helps out Lucy and Ethel.

4

Natalie Schafer

We all know her as Lovey on Gilligan's Island, but Schafer also appeared on the season three episode "Charm School." Schafer portrayed the owner of a charm school and helped Lucy and Ethel brush up on their etiquette.

5

Jack Albertson

You may not recognize him as the helicopter dispatcher from the season five episode "Bon Voyage," but you'll definitely recognize Albertson as the grandfather from the classic film Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory.

6

Sandra Gould

Before appearing as the second incarnation of Gladys Kravitz on Bewitched in the 1960s and 1970s, Gould appeared in two episodes of I Love Lucy, season three's "Oil Wells" (sitting, center) and season six's "Lucy and the Loving Cup."

7

Desi Arnaz, Jr.

Arnaz, Jr., (bottom right) was only four years old when he made an uncredited cameo appearance on his parent's famous show. The famous child briefly appears onscreen during the series finale, "The Ricardos Dedicate a Statue."
